About Ron

I like understanding
how things work.

That curiosity has taken me from industrial controls to engineering leadership, business ownership and film.

From the field to
engineering leadership.

My engineering work has taken me from field systems and industrial controls to engineering management and enterprise automation architecture. I have worked in manufacturing, process industries, transportation, water and cold storage.

Today, through DDG Automation, I bring that practical foundation to industrial systems and business AI. I care about the details that make a result usable: the interfaces, the information, the test and the handoff.

I also run operating businesses and work in film. That keeps the view wider. A system has to work for the people using it, and a story has to connect with the people watching it.

The connection

Running a business
changes the questions.

I see what happens after a customer calls, when a record goes missing or when a team has to work around a system. Running businesses makes those details personal.

Film brings another discipline: pay attention to the person on the other side. Whether I am explaining an engineering decision or playing a character, the connection matters.

How I work

Leave people with a system
they can run.

I want the people using a system to understand it. That starts with agreeing on the problem and continues through testing, documentation and handover.

01

Understand the operation.

Start with the people, the current system and the problem that needs to be solved.

02

Choose a focused scope.

Agree on the outcome, the inputs and how we will know the work is ready.

03

Build, verify and hand over.

Work through the details, test the result and leave a clear next step.
